Questions or concerns? Reading this Privacy Notice will help you understand your privacy rights and choices. We are responsible for making decisions about how your personal information is processed. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use our Services. If you still have any questions or concerns, please contact us at support@try-hard.in.
Summary of key points
This summary provides key points from our Privacy Notice, but you can find out more details about any of these topics by using our table of contents below to find the section you are looking for.
What personal information do we process? We process the account details you give us (name, email address, and a password if you register with email), the health and fitness information you enter to make the app work (body stats, workouts, nutrition and water logs, weight logs, and any injuries or movement limitations you tell the plan wizard about), any progress photos you choose to save, food and nutrition-label photos you submit for a scan, transcripts of voice meal entries, and your subscription entitlement status.
Do we process any sensitive personal information? Yes. Health and fitness data is central to the app's function, and in some jurisdictions it is treated as a special or sensitive category. We process it to operate the features you use, with your consent, or as otherwise permitted by applicable law. We do not process information about your racial or ethnic origin, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, or political opinions.
Do we collect any information from third parties? Other than the account profile details returned by Google or Apple when you choose to sign in with them, we do not collect information about you from third parties. We do not buy, rent, or enrich personal data.
Do we show ads or track you for advertising? No. The app contains no advertising, no advertising SDKs, and no analytics SDKs. We do not collect an advertising identifier, and we do not sell or share your personal information for advertising or cross-context behavioural advertising.
How do we process your information? We process your information to provide, operate, and support the Services, to generate the training and nutrition features you ask for, to manage your subscription, for security and fraud prevention, and to comply with law. We process your information only when we have a valid legal reason to do so.
In what situations and with which types of parties do we share personal information? We share information with a small, named set of service providers who operate parts of the Services on our behalf. They are listed by name in section 3.
How do we keep your information safe? We have organisational and technical processes and procedures in place to protect your personal information, including transport encryption and per-user database access rules. However, no electronic transmission over the internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals, or other unauthorised third parties will not be able to defeat our security and improperly collect, access, steal, or modify your information.
What are your rights? Depending on where you are located geographically, the applicable privacy law may mean you have certain rights regarding your personal information.
How do you exercise your rights? You can delete your account and all associated data from inside the app at any time — Profile → Delete Account. You can also contact us at support@try-hard.in. We will consider and act upon any request in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

1. What information do we collect?
Personal information you disclose to us
In Short: We collect personal information that you provide to us.
We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register on the Services, when you participate in activities on the Services, or otherwise when you contact us. The personal information we collect may include the following:
- name
- email address
- password (only if you register with an email address and password; passwords are stored as salted hashes by our authentication provider and are never visible to us)
We do not ask for or collect your phone number, your postal address, your date of birth, or any government identifier.
Health and fitness information
In Short: Health and fitness data is the core of the app. You enter it, we store it, and we use it to run the features you asked for.
The app is a fitness and nutrition tracker, so most of what it stores about you is health-related. This includes:
- Body and profile stats. Height, current weight, target weight, age, gender, and activity level, collected during onboarding so the app can calculate your calorie and macronutrient targets.
- Training data. Workout logs (exercises, sets, reps, weights, durations, and optional RPE), routines you build or save, training plans generated for you, and exercise notes.
- Nutrition and hydration data. Food and meal logs, saved meal templates, and water intake.
- Weight and progress history. Weight log entries over time, streaks, and weekly reports.
- Injuries and movement limitations. If you use the AI training-plan wizard, any injuries, limitations, goals, or free-text notes you enter there, so the generated plan can account for them.
Body stats are required at onboarding because the app cannot calculate targets without them. Everything else in this list is created only when you log it.
Photos
In Short: Progress photos are optional and private to your account. Food and label photos are sent for a scan and are not kept as photos.
The app uses photos in two distinct ways, and they are handled differently:
- Progress photos. Entirely optional, and off by default — photo tracking must be turned on by you. When enabled, photos you capture or select are stored in a private storage bucket scoped to your account by per-user access rules, so no other user can retrieve them. They are deleted when you delete the photo or delete your account.
- Food and nutrition-label photos. When you use a food scan or a nutrition-label scan, the image is transmitted to our AI service provider for analysis and the resulting nutrition estimate is returned to you. The image is not stored in your account as a photo and is not retained by us after the scan completes.
Access to your camera and photo library is requested only when you use one of these features, and can be revoked at any time in your device settings.
Voice input
In Short: Your device does the speech recognition. We receive text, not audio.
You can log a meal by speaking instead of typing. Speech recognition is performed by your device's own speech-recognition service (on Android this may be provided by Google; on iOS by Apple), under the terms and privacy notices of that platform. The app receives only the resulting transcript text. We do not record, receive, transmit, or store the audio of your voice. The transcript is then handled exactly like a typed meal entry — including being sent to our AI service provider to be turned into a nutrition estimate.
Subscription and payment information
In Short: Apple and Google process payments. We never see your card.
Subscriptions are sold and processed entirely through Apple In-App Purchase and Google Play Billing. We never receive, process, or store your card number, CVV, bank details, or billing address. What we receive is your subscription entitlement status — whether a subscription is active, which product it is, and its renewal or expiry date — linked to your account identifier through our subscription-management provider. That is all we hold about your purchase.
Information collected automatically
In Short: Limited technical information needed to keep the Services running and to fix crashes. No analytics SDK, no advertising identifier.
We do not embed any analytics SDK in the app, and we do not build usage profiles of you. The technical information that is collected automatically is limited to the following:
- Server logs. Like any internet service, our backend and API hosting providers record standard request information — including IP address, timestamp, and the endpoint called — for security, abuse prevention, rate limiting, and debugging.
- Crash and error diagnostics. If the app encounters an unhandled error, a diagnostic report (error message, stack trace, and basic device and app-version context) is sent to our error-monitoring provider so we can fix the fault. These reports are automatically scrubbed before transmission to redact email addresses, authorisation headers, access tokens, API keys, and long encoded data such as images.
- Subscription events. Purchase, renewal, and cancellation events reported to us by Apple, Google, and our subscription-management provider.
What we do not collect
To be explicit, the app does not collect any of the following:
- your precise or approximate location
- an advertising ID (no AD_ID permission) or any device advertising identifier
- your contacts, calendar, SMS messages, or call logs
- your web browsing history or a list of the other apps installed on your device
- your microphone audio (see 'Voice input' above)
- any data for advertising, ad measurement, or ad targeting — there is no advertising in the app
Google API
Our use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
2. How do we process your information?
In Short: We process your information to provide, operate, and support the Services, for security, and to comply with law.
We process your personal information for the following reasons:
- To facilitate account creation and authentication and otherwise manage user accounts. So you can create and log in to your account and keep it in working order.
- To deliver the features of the app. To calculate your calorie and macronutrient targets, generate training plans, log and display your workouts, nutrition, water, and weight, and show your progress over time.
- To provide AI-assisted features you initiate. To generate training plans, estimate the nutrition of a described, spoken, or photographed meal, read a nutrition label, and produce weekly analysis of your logged activity. See section 5.
- To manage your subscription. To determine whether premium features are unlocked for your account, and to process renewal, cancellation, and restore events.
- To respond to your enquiries and offer support.
- To send administrative information to you. Such as changes to our terms and policies. In-app reminders and notifications are scheduled locally on your device; we do not operate a push-notification server or collect push tokens.
- To protect our Services. Including rate limiting, abuse and fraud monitoring, and diagnosing crashes and errors.
- To comply with our legal obligations. To respond to legal requests and to exercise, establish, or defend our legal rights.
We do not process your information to serve advertising, to build advertising profiles, or to determine the effectiveness of advertising campaigns.
3. When and with whom do we share your personal information?
In Short: With a small, named set of service providers, listed below with exactly what each one receives. We do not sell your personal information.
We share personal information with third-party service providers who perform services for us or on our behalf and require access to that information to do that work. We have contracts in place with them designed to safeguard your personal information; they may not use it for their own purposes. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
The service providers we share personal information with are:
- Supabase (database, authentication, and file storage) — receives all data stored in your account: profile, health and fitness logs, training plans, notes, and progress photos. Acts as our data processor.
- Anthropic (AI processing, server-side) — receives only what a given AI feature needs: your training-plan wizard answers including injuries, goals, and free-text notes; meal descriptions and voice transcripts; food and nutrition-label images; and summaries of your workouts and bodyweight for weekly analysis. Requests are made server-side by us, as our service provider, under Anthropic's commercial terms.
- RevenueCat (subscription management) — receives your account identifier and your purchase and entitlement state. It does not receive your health, fitness, nutrition, or photo data.
- Apple and Google (payments, sign-in, and platform services) — process all subscription payments and, if you choose to sign in with Apple or Google, authenticate you and return basic profile details. On Android, Google may also provide the device speech-recognition service used for voice meal entry.
- Sentry (error monitoring) — receives crash and error diagnostics as described in section 1, after automatic scrubbing of email addresses, tokens, and encoded data.
- Expo / EAS Hosting (application hosting for our API) — hosts the server routes the app calls; standard request logs as described in section 1.
- USDA FoodData Central and Open Food Facts (packaged-food lookup) — receive only the food search term or the barcode you scanned. No account identifier and no personal information is attached to these lookups.
We also may need to share your personal information in the following situations:
- Legal requirements. Where we are required to do so by law, or where disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety or the safety of others, or to investigate fraud.
- Business Transfers. We may share or transfer your information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another company.
Sharing you initiate. If you choose to share a workout routine, the content of that routine is published at a link that anyone holding the link can open. This happens only when you explicitly share a routine, and applies only to that routine's contents — never to your profile, logs, photos, or account details.
4. Do we use cookies and other tracking technologies?
In Short: The app uses no cookies and no tracking technologies. This website uses no cookies either.
The mobile application does not use cookies, web beacons, pixels, or any similar tracking technology, and contains no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. It stores data locally on your device (such as your session and cached content) purely so the app can function.
This website consists of static pages and does not set cookies, does not use third-party trackers, and does not profile visitors.
We do not permit third parties to use tracking technologies on our Services for analytics or advertising, we do not display advertising, and we do not tailor advertising to your interests anywhere.
5. Do we offer artificial intelligence-based products?
In Short: Yes. Several features are AI-assisted, and each one is started by you.
As part of our Services, we offer features powered by artificial intelligence and similar technologies (collectively, 'AI Products'). The terms in this Privacy Notice govern your use of the AI Products within our Services.
Use of AI technologies
We provide the AI Products through a third-party AI service provider, Anthropic. Calls to Anthropic are made from our own servers, not directly from your device. As set out in section 3, your input and the resulting output are shared with and processed by Anthropic as our service provider so that the feature you asked for can run. You must not use the AI Products in any way that violates the terms or policies of that provider.
Our AI Products
Our AI Products are used for the following functions:
- Generating personalised training plans and workout routines from the answers you give in the plan wizard
- Estimating the nutrition of a meal you describe in text or by voice
- Analysing a photo of a food item or a nutrition label to estimate its nutrition
- Producing a weekly analysis of the workouts and bodyweight entries you logged
How we process your data using AI
Only the data a given feature needs is sent, and only when you start that feature. All personal information processed by our AI Products is handled in line with this Privacy Notice and our agreement with our AI service provider.
How to opt out
Every AI feature is initiated by you, and none of them run in the background. If you do not want your information processed by our AI service provider, simply do not use the AI features: the app's core workout, nutrition, water, weight, and progress tracking all work without them. If you would like us to delete data already generated by these features, you can delete the individual entries in the app, delete your account (section 13), or contact us at support@try-hard.in.
6. How do we handle your social logins?
In Short: We offer Sign in with Google and Sign in with Apple. Nothing else.
Our Services offer you the ability to register and log in using a Google account or an Apple account (Sign in with Apple). These are the only two third-party sign-in options we offer; we do not offer, and never have offered, sign-in through Facebook, X, or any other social network.
Where you choose to use one of these, we receive a limited set of profile information from the provider — your email address and, where the provider supplies it, your name — which we use to create and identify your account. We do not receive, request, or store your friends or contacts list, your profile picture, your posts, or any other social activity. If you use Sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email address, we receive only Apple's private relay address, and that is what your account is registered against.
We use the information we receive only for the purposes described in this Privacy Notice. Please note that we do not control, and are not responsible for, other uses of your personal information by Google or Apple. We recommend that you review their privacy notices to understand how they collect, use, and share your personal information.
7. How long do we keep your information?
In Short: For as long as your account exists. Delete your account and it goes.
We keep the information in your account for as long as you maintain an account with us, because the app's purpose is to show you your own history over time. We will keep it longer only where a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting, or other legal requirements).
When you delete your account, your account record and every row of data linked to it — profile, workouts, routines, training plans, nutrition, water and weight logs, notes, streaks, weekly reports — is deleted, and your stored progress photos are removed from storage. See section 13.
Some items have shorter or different lifetimes: food and nutrition-label scan images are not retained after the scan completes; crash and error diagnostics are retained by our error-monitoring provider on that provider's own retention schedule; and server request logs are retained on our hosting providers' standard schedules for security and debugging.
When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymise such information, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.
8. How do we keep your information safe?
In Short: We aim to protect your personal information through a system of organisational and technical security measures.
We have implemented appropriate and reasonable technical and organisational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. All traffic between the app and our services is encrypted in transit using TLS. Your database rows and your stored files are protected by per-user access rules so that one account cannot read another account's data. Our AI calls are made server-side so that credentials are never present on your device, and crash reports are scrubbed of tokens and email addresses before they leave the app.
However, despite our safeguards and efforts to secure your information, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals, or other unauthorised third parties will not be able to defeat our security and improperly collect, access, steal, or modify your information. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, transmission of personal information to and from our Services is at your own risk. You should only access the Services within a secure environment.
9. What are your privacy rights?
In Short: You may review, change, or delete your account at any time, depending on your country, province, or state of residence.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to receive a copy of it in a portable form. If you are in India, these rights arise under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023; if you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, under the GDPR; and comparable rights may apply elsewhere.
Withdrawing your consent: If we are relying on your consent to process your personal information, which may be express and/or implied consent depending on the applicable law, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us using the contact details in section 12, or by deleting your account. However, please note that this will not affect the lawfulness of the processing before its withdrawal nor, when applicable law allows, will it affect the processing of your personal information conducted in reliance on lawful processing grounds other than consent.
Opting out of marketing and promotional communications: You can unsubscribe from our marketing and promotional communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in the emails that we send, or by contacting us using the details in section 12. You will then be removed from the marketing lists. However, we may still communicate with you — for example, to send you service-related messages that are necessary for the administration and use of your account, to respond to service requests, or for other non-marketing purposes.
Account information
If you would at any time like to review or change the information in your account, you can do so in the app under the Profile tab. If you would like to terminate your account, you can delete it yourself from inside the app — see section 13.
Upon deletion, we remove your account and information from our active databases. We may retain limited information where we are required or permitted to do so by law, for example to prevent fraud, to assist with an investigation, or to enforce our legal terms.
If you have questions or comments about your privacy rights, you may email us at support@try-hard.in.
10. Controls for do-not-track features
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track ('DNT') feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. No uniform technology standard for recognising and implementing DNT signals has been finalised. We do not track you across websites or applications in any case, so there is no cross-site tracking for a DNT signal to disable. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this Privacy Notice.
11. Do we make updates to this notice?
In Short: Yes, we will update this notice as necessary to stay compliant with relevant laws.
We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated 'Last updated' date at the top of this Privacy Notice. If we make material changes to this Privacy Notice, we may notify you either by prominently posting a notice of such changes or by directly sending you a notification. We encourage you to review this Privacy Notice frequently to be informed of how we are protecting your information.
12. How can you contact us about this notice?
If you have questions or comments about this notice, you may email us at support@try-hard.in or contact us by post at:
Nevi Fitness Solutions LLP
A 2502, Tower 1a, Hubtown Premier Residency
Andheri, Mumbai, MAH 400053
India
13. How can you review, update, or delete the data we collect from you?
You have the right to request access to the personal information we collect from you, details about how we have processed it, to correct inaccuracies, or to delete your personal information. You may also have the right to withdraw your consent to our processing of your personal information. These rights may be limited in some circumstances by applicable law.
Deleting your account in the app
You do not need to contact us to delete your data. The app has a built-in deletion flow:
- Open the TRHD app and go to the Profile tab
- Scroll to Delete Account
- Type DELETE to confirm
Deletion is immediate and permanent. There is no undo and no waiting period. It removes your stored progress photos from storage and then deletes your account record, which cascades to every table holding your data — profile, workouts, routines, training plans, nutrition, water and weight logs, exercise notes, meal templates, streaks, and weekly reports. Account deletion is available to every user, including users who have never subscribed.
Please note: deleting your account does not cancel an active App Store or Play Store subscription. Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google and can only be cancelled through your Apple or Google account settings. Cancel your subscription there before deleting your account.
If you cannot access the app
Email support@try-hard.in from the address associated with your account, stating that you want your account and all data deleted. We will verify the request and delete your account within 7 days.
